Hanson Formpave Makes A ‘Permeably Paved’ Entrance At International Conference On Urban Drainage

Hanson Formpave, manufacturers of specialist concrete paving products, is paving the way at the International Conference on Urban Drainage (ICUD) in Edinburgh next month. Dr Stephen Coupe, research manager at Hanson Formpave, presents the latest groundbreaking results on SUDS and permeable paving from the company’s extensive research and development programme, in partnership with Edinburgh and Coventry Universities and Cantabria University in Santander, Spain. Representatives from these establishments will also be presenting their findings in various seminars at the ICUD.

The presentation focuses on the most pressing and topical issues surrounding urban drainage including renewable energy, preservation of water resources and water quality issues. On the topic of integration of SUDS with sustainable energy resources, delegates will hear all about the company’s patented Aquaflow™ Geothermal Paving system that combines rainwater harvesting with GSHP technology.
